Pak-Vitae became a member of the Young Water Fellowship program 2017 sponsored by Young Water Solutions (Belgium)
The Young Water Fellowship Program aims to empower young entrepreneurs from the developing and under-developed countries to implement projects to tackle water, sanitation and hygiene, water pollution and water scarcity issues, by offering them an intensive Training program, seed funding grant for their projects and mentoring support by senior level experts during one year.
Pak-Vitae became a member of the Young Water Fellowship Program in 2017 for its initiative of providing clean water to the Afghan refugees settled in Pakistan. Our team developed a cost effective portable water filtering device that employs pioneer hollow fiber-membrane technology that requires no electrical power, batteries or replacement parts. The projects succeeded in building two boreholes in the Afghan refugee center, distributing 40 community filters and training families in their maintenance.
